Michael Spry

Michael Spry is a Maranungu man from west of Darwin in the Northern Territory. Michael has worked as an Environmental Health Worker in NT housing, a lecturer at Batchelor Institute, an environmental health officer and a Program Manager for community-controlled health service. In his current role as a Principal Policy Officer with the Department of Health, Michael is working in collaboration with AMSANT and Housing to progress the development of a Northern Territory community based Environmental Health Worker program. Michael identifies sustainable funding for employment and training to build on local capacity as an integral component to improving health and wellbeing.
