Chelsea J Bond
Dr Chelsea Bond is a Munanjali and South Sea Islander woman, health researcher and Senior Lecturer at the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies Unit at the University of Queensland. She is also an affiliate of the School of Public Health and the UQ Poche Centre for Indigenous Health. First trained as an Aboriginal Health Worker, Chelsea has worked in urban and rural communities in south east Queensland developing a research interest in strength-based health promotion practice, Indigenous primary health care and Indigenous community development. In more recent years, Chelsea has been teaching Indigenous studies which has generated a growing research interest in the engagement of Indigenous knowledges in improving Indigenous health and a more critical approach to race, racism, culture and identity within Indigenous public health research and practice.
