Bindi Bennett

Bindi is a lecturer at the Australian Catholic University (ACU) in Social Work. Her interests include trauma for Aboriginal people as well as increasing cultural responsiveness in social work education. Prior to her appointment with ACU, Bindi was a senior social worker with experience in the fields of child and adolescent mental health, schools and health. Bindi is one of 4 co-editors of “Our Voices, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Workers” the first Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Work book in Australia and has previously published in the area of practice with Aboriginal peoples. Bindi is a Gamilaroi woman, raised on Ngunnawal land and currently living on Darkinjung land.
