Kent Morris

Kent is a Barkindji man, a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts and an alumnus of the Wesfarmers Indigenous Arts Leadership Program. He is the CEO of The Torch and has over 20 years’ experience as a practicing artist and curator with specialist knowledge of the Indigenous Australian arts industry. Kent has a strong interest in the educational and healing potential of cultural learning and the arts and In 2011 joined The Torch to design, develop and deliver the Indigenous Arts in Prisons and Community program which provides art, cultural and arts vocational support to Indigenous offenders and ex offenders in Victoria. He also curates the annual Confined and Dhumbadha Munga – Talking Knowledge exhibitions at the Yalukit Wilum Ngargee festival.
