Odette Gibson

Odette Gibson is an Eastern Yalangi and Torres Strait Islander women. Her experience includes policy coordination and primary health care management in the Torres Strait & NPA Health service district. Her current role as a post-doctoral research fellow with the Wardliparingga Aboriginal Health Research Unit at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute, involves participating in and leading research projects that predominantly focus on reporting health inequities, health services research relating to chronic disease management and using research methods and outcomes to inform policy development. Developing research interests include the use of scarce health dollars to obtain the greatest health outcomes and measurement of health system performance and health outcomes for Indigenous Australians.
