Jayne Kotz

Jayne works in research and as endorsed Nurse Practitioner in primary health care, midwifery and child health nursing, and has a special interest in mental health. She has worked extensively with women and children throughout remote and rural Australia, Tanzania and Vanuatu, and in corrective services. She has a commitment to social justice, equity of access and community development principles in health care delivery. Jayne coordinated the development and validation of the Kimberley Mums Mood Scale. She is near completion of her PhD. This collaborative research project between Murdoch University, Pindi Pindi, Telethon Kids Institute and the DoH Office of Nursing and Midwifery has been exploring the context of perinatal mental health screening among Aboriginal mothers and fathers.
